Family and ancestors going back to early 18th Century on MD’s Eastern Shore (many interbred families). My brief exposure to Western MD was in Hagerstown and that was to visit a fam mbr in physical therapy so I never really got a feel for it.
But it surprises me as you are the second poster that says West MD is red red red. It’s surprising because it’s above NOVA which is blue and west of Baltimore which is a blue disaster.
What’s the status of gun control in MD?
There is always talk that W Md wants to cede from the Eastern part. Keyers Ridge and Grantsville arei only 20 miles away so I spend a little time there. Completely different from the eastern end. Mountainous, rural and agrarian.
Md does not honor a Pa CCW however I had a Md state cop tell me western Maryland cops will just dont go any farther east than Hancock before you lock it in your trunk.
