It was Obama who was chummy with the Russians. He is the one who secretly whispers to the Russian foreign minister, “Wait until after the election. I’ll have more flexibility.”
POTUS will talk with the Russians and continually try to change their ways. That the way he is. He does the same with the Chinese and NK leaders. He may even invite them to the WH, but if there is any movement, it will be our enemies wanting to get relief from sanctions, or some favor or another. Trump will hold firm. That’s the way he is.
I suspect that by the end of his second term he will have turned Iran - to some degree. That’s the way he is!
