Collisions are more than “speculation at this point.” There are documented incidences where “hunter vehicles” have closed on, and then “bumped” other satellites.
The message is that there is already a militarization of space proceeding more rapidly than previously feared. The US needs to face that reality and be ready. Defensive and offensive capabilities need to be developed.
