I take exception to this particular statement the author, Galli, made in his Christianity Today op-ed:
“But the facts in this instance are unambiguous: The president of the United States attempted to use his political power to coerce a foreign leader to harass and discredit one of the presidents political opponents. That is not only a violation of the Constitution; more importantly, it is profoundly immoral.”

THE AUTHOR IS EITHER IGNORANT OF THE FACTS, OR DELIBERATELY TWISTING THE FACTS.
1) Joe Biden used his position as VP to enrich his incompetent son while the energy company that hired his son was corruptly trying to influence Washington DC. How did he do it? Biden threatened to withhold $1 Billion in aid to Ukraine if they did not fire the prosecutor who was investigating the company that his son was associated with.
Biden, the then VP even BOASTED on TV that he successfully got the prosecutor fired through his threat.
2) Trump did NOT COERCE the Ukrainian President to investigate this corruption to benefit himself. He asked the Ukrainian President for a favor, not for himself, but for us ( his words, read the transcript ), which means, The United States, to investigate the above corrupt deal.
This is his job as chief law enforcement office of the United States. That the one being investigated happens to be running for President is beside the point. The question is this WAS THERE EVIDENCE OF CORRUPTION? ABSOLUTELY.
3) The said foreign leader himself, Zelensky OPENLY STATED that He DID NOT FEEL ANY PRESSURE OR COERCION from Trump. How could Mr. Galli say the opposite? He isnt the alleged victim of coercion.
4) If we ignore this corruption and let it slide without an investigation ( yes, an investigation, not a pre-determined conclusion to decide a persons guilt or innocence ), we simply EMBOLDEN other government officials to do the same thing in the future.
So, Mr. Galli, in light of the above facts, how could you say that Trump violated the constitution? On the contrary, it would be IMMORAL to simply let the former second highest official in the land get away without investigating his corrupt dealings.
In other words Mr. Galli, you either dont know the facts, or know the facts but deliberately twist it.
The Bible tells us this:
“Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment. ( John 7:24 ).
By failing to meet that Biblical standard, Mr. Galli CANNOT and DOES NOT speak for Evangelicals, only himself.
You cannot interpret President Trump’s actions without first listening to Joke Biden’s “son of a bitch” interview at the Council on Foreign Relations...
Galli is an Anglican. Pro-abortion. Pro-homosexual behavior.
This whole Democrat impeachment episode is concrete evidence of Alexander Pope's line; "For fools rush in where angels fear to tread."
