The Episcopalian Church is dying. But will fight tooth and nail for an empty building.
“On May 13, 2012, the last worship service was held at the historic property. The Episcopal Church changed the locks on the buildings and only one set of items, kneelers from the communion rail, were allowed to be taken by the new congregation, by then known as The Falls Church Anglican.”
I left it and will never go back. Too many flaming liberals running the show.
The Church of Our Saviour at Oatlands was built on land donated by the mistress of Oatlands Plantation. During the Civil War, horses were in short supply, and congregants couldn't easily travel to Leesburg for Sunday services. The mistress of Oatlands Plantation started holding Morning Prayer services for black and white folks in one of her outbuildings.
By God's grace we were able to build a new church building. But the ECUSA would rather give the old church buildings to muslims or Satanists than let the the original congregation use it.
George Mason and George Washington both attended Pohick Church, I believe.
