Welfare people feel self pity over economy...
Great idea whose time has come, as you said scale back welfare and people will think jobs look good after all.
Problem is people now believe we owe them entitlements instead of feeling embarrassed (as the late great Paul Harvey said).
And people shifted to expecting the Government to take care of all health care needs for them-—a reverse of around 8-10 years ago opinions.
And the age 38 “boys” who still live in mom’s basement playing video games and eating Cheetohs and Dorritos feel fine about it.
Overheard a guy in a store “My father really means it this time, I think. He’s sort of drawn a line that in a couple of months when I turn 35 I have to get a full time job and my own place and move out. This time I think he’s serious.”
A good positive rise of the traditional American work ethic will help those welfare recipients who are able to work ... help them immensely.
