The only thing that McConnell could have done better today was to indicate in his speech that the Senate was doing the work that the American people elected them for, by approving all of these appointments, while the House was busy wasting time and money on the impeachment, and now holding it hostage by not giving it over to the Senate. Maybe he could have encouraged them to hold it longer, so that they could approve more judges.
There’s only five more judges on the floor, and several of those are democrat-recommended nominees.
So that’s it for the year.
But they cleared a hell of a backlog!
