He got outspent 2-1 last time and only lost by around 6 percentage points. Maybe with some support, he can win. Trump will certainly be in Michigan a good bit. This is a race to watch.
That's huge. That's not close for a U.S. Senate race.
It was an off year election and lazy ass republicans didn't figure it was worth taking the time to vote.
That's why Stabenow won with the same number of votes that Hillary got when she lost in 2016. And that's why Elissa Slotkin won in a Republican held district when her incumbent opponent, Bishop, got 46,000 less votes than he did in 2016.
Michigan has had only two republican senators since 1959......
Running on the same ticket as President Trump, this is a once in a lifetime chance to regain a senate seat by a Republican here in Michigan if James can defeat Peters.
If the GOP were smart, they would give James all the monies he needs to run a mega campaign against Peters. And that also means that James is going to have to campaign strongly in northern Michigan as well as the upper peninsula, which he pretty much ignored back in 2018......
