Twenty years ago, Bill Clinton gave us “it depends upon what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.” James Comey has now given us it depends what the meaning of “vindicated” is.
The former FBI director sat down with Chris Wallace of Fox News Sunday over the weekend, and it didn’t go well. Wallace repeatedly pressed Comey on critical findings in the Horowitz IG report, and Comey shimmied and dodged, in a master class in slipperiness and evasion.
Throughout the interview, Comey sought to minimize what had gone wrong in 2016, fighting a rearguard action on behalf of a position no longer worthy of defense.
The former FBI director puts great weight on yet another distinction that is laughable by any reasonable standard. He says that the Trump campaign wasn’t being investigated, just four people associated with it. But this wasn’t a coincidence. It wasn’t as though they were all under investigation for disparate, random things. The FBI was probing whether they were conspiring with Russia over the 2016 election. To pretend this had nothing to do with the campaign is completely ridiculous.
In sum, based on his performance with Chris Wallace, it’s safe to doubt the reliability of James Comey’s definition of “vindicated.”

Maybe if you watched the Barr interview from last week you would see what he is doing.
When you are investigating one of the largest criminal conspiracies in the history of the USA, it takes some time.
Pay attention...It's already happened...Comey's admission he was lying, or in his words, "Wrong" along with other documentary evidence, has totally vindicated Trump and justified Trump previous statements, firing Comey etc.
Nailed... how? As long as he walks the streets, justice has not occurred.

Justice has occurred. Comey in his own words has cleared or vindicated Trump. In the presidents eyes and mine, this is paramount. Comey feeling the pain for his deeds and lying is secondary in the big picture and in fact has yet to be seen.
The true test of Bill Barr is whether he has the stones to bring a criminal indictment against Comey.
I've crossed my fingers, but I won't hold my breath.
If they really want to begin the clean up of the fbi/doj the guy at the top, that is guilty as hell, must be prosecuted for bringing a fraud to the court {among other charges}.

Meaning he will serve no jail time and, with no conscience, no guilt and his pension will be intact so, meh. In their eyes, PDJT will NEVER be vinidcated from all his evil racist, homophobic, misogynistic ways. It’s who they are.

One more thing, how is it you know the future and know Comey will never he held responsible? Is this projection? I ask because you seem crushed that Trump has been vindicated here.
HUH? Uh, no. Just that having witnessed all the other assclowns skating I doubt any of them will ever be held accountable. It’s a victory for us that will remain only with us. The anti-Trumpsters will never admit it’s a victory. Somehow my comments did not come across as intended. :-)
