The United States has a higher share of single-parent households than 129 other countries, a recent analysis from the Pew Research Center reveals.
Twenty-three percent of U.S. children live with a single adult, Pew found, compared with an average of just 7 percent around the world. Of the 130 countries from which Pew obtained survey data, rates of single-parent households ranged from the low 20s in the United States and United Kingdom to as low as 1 or 2 percent in countries like Turkey and Afghanistan.
The report suggests that America's record-high rate, a product of the steady decline in two-parent homes in the United States, is related to the move away from extended family structure in Western nations and toward a more isolated model for children and adults alike. The result is another part of the complicated story of family and marriage inequity in the United States.

Sugar-coat the problem as much as you wish, it is no accident that the rise correlates strongly with the War on Poverty. Unlike other countries with income subsidies, the US altered the benefit to favor homes where only one parent is present. Huge mistake...and one we will continue to pay until someone sees the enormous elephant in the room and changes the rules to fix the problem.
OK, majority.
Vast, overwhelming majority in the black community. A year or so ago, I challenged a 13 year old black kid who was stealing a squeegee at a gas station. He had been given everything in his life and had absolutely no concept of purchasing something. No idea how to buy something. No moral code that a proper father would instill on his son.
Why would they, it’s an income stream? And why would any sane male want to marry many of today’s feminist females? Lots of toxic women out there.
Where the heck do you think they make money? Look at the welfare income for a single parent with 3 or 4 kids! It is unreal how much in benefits they receive and it is taken away if they marry.
Yet ANOTHER success of the Left.
What percentage of these are blacks? That’s an important distinction because they receive more freebies the more illegitimate children they have. We continue to encourage and reward the very behavior that is creating the problem in the first place.
I blame the booming baby body parts business.
Actually high bastard rates are across race. Yeah blacks are at 75% or more, but the rate is 50% for Hispanics and around 40% for whites.
It takes two.
But only one has the parts where the baby develops, and the orifice where it comes out.
Ladies dont want a kid with a deadbeat?

Subsidized illegitimacy has turned us into a nation of govt created bastards.
Saying that they are destined for failure is incorrect. They are more likely to fail is a true statement. But we’re not allowed to say that in our society nowadays.
In many tv commercials these days there is only a mother with children.
Or a mixed race family, or a gay couple.
Baby daddy big government. We dont need no man!
“Single Mom” is to be celebrated these days, whether you are a WIDOW (suffered a great loss with death of husband), a DIVORCEE ( at least gave marriage a try) or a NEVER MARRIED woman. A very few in the last category are heroically raising a child who was the result of a rape. The rest chose that their child would not have a father married to mother.

Thanks capitalism! It’s far easier to ‘survive’ here as a single person with a child due to subsidies, cheaper products and other goods and services. One can’t be a grand feminist in a bad economy.
