This is looking more and more as “Let’s just get it to the senate and let mcconnel screw it up from there”. I said very early on that if this gets to the senate, anything can happen.

That’s why the Senate needs to vote day one to acquit and not allow the rats a chance to call witnesses. You just know the rats have a dirty trick up their sleeve.
Once acquitted, the the Senate can go after Nader and Schiff and the rest. This is the smartest way to handle this.

You are partly correct. They also think they can force McConnell to subpoena Bolton et.al. because they would not take the chance that the courts would not rule in their favor. This part of the game was planned out a long time ago with Schumer and Pelosy.
If McConnell is smart, (I think that PDJT’s team will force it), he will allow PDJT to subpoena his witnesses but will tell the House managers that they had their chance to subpoena Bolton et. al. in the House during their hearings, (and fight it out in the courts), but did not take the opportunity so they will have to present the case they came to the Senate with.
The “Grand Jury” phase is over and it is now time to present your case to the jury. No untested testimony at the last minute will be allowed.If the case is weak, (as it is), then you lose. Tough luck.
