The REAL reason to spy on Trump was PURELY POLITICAL.
Illegal, unprecedented, but hey, why should democrats allow the smelly American deplorable people to decide what’s good for them, when such Superior Minds are available right there in Obama and his “Third Term” partner Hillary?
They had to win, damn it. NOT Trump.
The ends justify the means. Forever criminal.
Lost in all this is that the democrats running against Hillary were subjects of surveillance, as were republicans. As the campaign distilled down to Trump and Hillary they poured all the sources into Trump. Then after Trump won, those resources continued an even more intensified surveillance operation for nefarious intent.
Makes me wonder what they did to ensure the 0bama victory.
They spied on the Trump campaign to get information about the planned rallies. That was done to organize the anti-Trump goons to disrupt his rallies and perform violent acts against his supporters. An example I found on Wikipedia:
August 31, 2016: A group of approximately 500 people protested in downtown Phoenix, Arizona chanting and hitting a Trump piñata. There were no arrests, although police had to usher two anti-Trump protesters off the sidewalk where speech-goers for a Trump rally entered the Phoenix Convention Center, saying that the protesters were causing conflict with the Trump supporters.
