The Senate should do exactly what shithead did and make up their rules. Don’t let them call witnesses.

no. the Senate can hold this trial however they see fit, without reference to past impeachments, Federal trial rules or anything else ... a majority vote will determine ALL of the rules of whatever trial is held IN ADVANCE OF SAID TRIAL.
The only Constitutional requirement is that the Chief Justice presides over the trial, and it takes a 2/3 vote of the Senators to convict ...
