I can well remember when I was a kid recognizing that a lot of things imported from Japan were just junk. That radically changed over the years to the point that the Japanese made innovations that allowed them to dominate the color tv market for many years.
The American response was to complain about Japanese monopolistic practices. The complaints were justified but the American approach should have included insisting that some of our industries use the same laser-like focus that the Japanese were using to improve quality. Instead, many American industries, like the auto makers, continued to make mediocre products while their employee parking lots filled up with imported cars.
If American manufacturers behaved during World War II the way they responded to foreign competition later, we may well have lost the war.
The bottom line is that an intelligent, well-educated person in a foreign land who is equipped with modern technology will be more productive than a less intelligent, uneducated person in America and the free enterprise system will ensure that the former has a better standard of living than the latter. Anything else will require artificial intervention and a cost to the productive people who are forced to subsidize that intervention.
That "innovation" was a closed market while we foolishly let in everything duty free. The American worker has been screws by Free Traitors. So stop with the BS propaganda.

This is such BS. It is American hating idiots like you that will take us to socialism. FREE MARKETS END AT THE WATERS EDGE PAL.
