They won’t.
It will require direct, clear orders from the CiC to change this.
One can hope.
The dirty little secret in the liberal view that young enlistees would only get into trouble having guns in the barracks and on their person during duty is that many of them are already armed and there isn’t this carnage the liberal mindset claims.
We saw the exact same liberal reasoning against civilian concealed weapons programs where the liberals claimed there would be carnage across the country if people carried. The effect, of course, was the exact opposite in that crime plummeted where concealed carry was allowed. Now, today, we even have no licenses required carry (”constitutional carry”) and still no carnage.
I was born, raised, and served in the military and know the trouble young studs get into, but I also know there are means to safeguard weapons in the barracks and on duty so the trouble makers are kept at bay.
..and some follow up inspections and firings when his orders are slow walked or ignored by DoD and MACOM cdrs (they will be).
