IN THE END, the story told by the two articles of impeachment approved on Friday morning by the House Judiciary Committee is short, simple and damning: President Donald Trump abused the power of his office by strong-arming Ukraine, a vulnerable ally, holding up hundreds of millions of dollars in military aid until it agreed to help him influence the 2020 election by digging up dirt on a political rival.
When caught in the act, he rejected the very idea that a president could be required by Congress to explain and justify his actions, showing unprecedented, categorical and indiscriminate defiance in the face of multiple subpoenas. He made it impossible for Congress to carry out fully its constitutionally mandated oversight role, and, in doing so, he violated the separation of powers, a safeguard of the American republic.
To quote from the articles, President Trump, by such conduct, has demonstrated that he will remain a threat to national security and the Constitution if allowed to remain in office, and has acted in a manner grossly incompatible with self-governance and the rule of law.

Trump: Not Guilty!
Nadler: Aha! Obstruction of Congress!
The NY Times is for impeachment. Who’d a thunk!?
Violated the separation of powers??? You pusillanimous dolts. He protected the separation of powers!
What a pack of poltroons!

Take the parenthesizes out of that title and it’s about right.
We get more truth out of the Babylon Bee than the NY Times.
Oh, this is the same newspaper that declared as soon as DJT got the nomination: “No way we’re gonna cover him fairly.” There’s a carload of grains of salt in there somewhere.
I flick a mosquito off my lapel in their general direction.
How can they just outright lie? He didn’t do any of that yet they lie about it and swear to it. Has to be a law somewhere about sedition, about calling for a coup.
Same NYT was against impeaching Clinton back in 1998. No bias here.
Did the clowns at the NYT read different documents than I did, or did they just go on hearsay?
He didn’t ask anyone to help him “influence the 2020 election”. Not even remotely.
Gosh, what a surprise! Not.
The problem is that many folks that don’t pay attention will not know that NYT and WashPost are biased.
ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN will quote the editorial - and think that Trump did something evil.
They will not remember all the talk about Russia collusion and forget to ask
The aid to Ukraine went through ant there was no quid pro quo and no bribery.
Those crimes arent even being alleged in the highly partisan articles of impeachment drawn up by the Democrats.
In fact, Trump isnt charged with committing any specific crimes at all! Geez.
Irony

plural noun: ironies
They are really ascared.
The NYT is deep state media, those guys are CNN and over there is Slate magazine.
Collectively they are one deep state media pretending to be independent sources to “corroborate” the deep state narrative.
i.e. the NYT editorial board is Clapper, Brennan, Comey, Obama and the Clintons.
Too bad there isn’t any evidence to back up all these accusations.
It’s the NYSlimes. This is the same rag that refused to publish a single article during WWII against the NAZI’s. Not even when the atrocities against the Jews was revealed.
Never heard of this? If you have a bit of free time look into this yourself.
