“Morningside Park at the edge of campus”
No reason for any “student” to ever be in that “park”, unless you’re slummin’. In reality, it’s on the other side of the moon.
Shared a place in the shadow of Grant’s Tomb on the other side during my years with “Alma Mater”. Daytime, lots of people all over CU neighborhoods. Sun goes down, it’s like Frank Thorn’s city. Except for Broadway by College walk and the subway, it’s empty, dark and dangerous.
The school now really sucks, compared to lots of other options. The Professors are Terrorists. $60 / yr to have your kid transformed into an NPC Red Diaper Baby?
Protect your kids. Leave this crap to rot as it should.
Sorry, “Robert Neville”.
Mea Culpa.
Got my Heston tags mixed.
Lots of students live on the other (wrong) side of that park from the schools.
Its gentrified around there now..I was there two summers ago but at night Id have been wary
Walk 110 on the south side of the street
I lived there too 115 at morningside in the 80s
When the undercover cop killed the ghetto Exeter scholarship kid who tried to rob him on a weekend
Was in front of my stoop
St Lukes had not glommed the whole south side of 115 yet
I wouldnt have entered Morningside day or night 80s
Very very bad
I'm reading elsewhere that students used to be warned to avoid this park and now they're not warned about it as doing so is considered perpetuating racism.
