Trump now has FIFTY circuit judges confirmed in less than THREE years. Obama had 55 in EIGHT years.
Also, Trump now has TEN judges confirmed to the 9th circuit. This will go far in balancing that far left circuit. It's power-hungry district judges will be slapped down more frequently.
There are 18 District judges remaining on the Senate floor. McConnell is attempting to get a package deal from the democrats, but if not, nominees preferred by Republican senators will be confirmed and democrat nominees will be allowed to expire with the session.
No deals with the democrats in judges. They are NOT to be trusted.. ever.

What kind of package deal, I wonder.
I am worried about Judge Bumatay confirmed to the 9th Circuit. It is one thing to be a homosexual, but proudly showing your “husband” and raising children in such an arrangement is an entirely different thing. Even best constitutionalists are influenced by their personal experience. There was a case in which Justice Scalia ruled that burning crosses is protected by the First Amendment, but Justice Thomas ruled differently.
Judge Bumatay may be good on business, environment, or immigration, but I don’t believe he will protect the “gay” conversion therapy or the right of religious insititutions (dioceses, schools...) to fire open homosexuals.
Looks like no shutdown. Have defense signed and other 12 on the way. The judge train wreck for Democraps will continue.
Keep Chuckie’s cheeks full. Expect 15 to 20 ckt judges by end of Trump’s first term. Boy, that has got to hurt.

In my book, any judge who gets less than 40 Democrats “NO” is politically suspect.
The two 9th Circuit Judges confirmed this week both received heavy Democrat opposition - very encouraging.
Bumatay - 40 Democrats “NO”
Vandyke - 44 Democrats “NO”
The eight District Judges confirmed last week are very depressing.
Komitee, Huffaker, Barlow - 4 Democrats “NO”
Lydon - 13 Democrats “NO”
Sinatra - 18 Democrats “NO”
Myers - 21 Democrats “NO”
Cole - 29 Democrats “NO”
Pitlyk - 43 Democrats “NO” + Collins (R-ME)
Nothing else.
The group of 18 include candidates who are from Democratic stronghold states like NY, several of whom are registered Democrats. Their nomination by President Trump was part of an earlier deal where Schumer & others had input on choices.
NY, NJ, & California have many judicial emergency openings, positions that have been vacant where the remaining judges cannot handle the flow of work. There is pressure from those courts on their Senators to fill the positions. So in return for confirming judges that they are comfortable with they have to allow expeditious confirmation of the whole slate.
The vetting room lists the nominees that are under consideration for confirmation. The judges that would not have been POTUS original picks are certainly not rabid liberals and are mostly apolitical in their rulings. By scrolling down on this link one can see each candidate for New York. The political section for each nominee gives information on which are likely consensus candidates. (Lewis Liman most notably).

How about District courts? How many are open?
No reason to make ANY deals with the dhimmicraps on these judges.
And...the 9th Circus needs to be broken up into at least two new courts, maybe three.

My predication is that Bumatay is angling for the Supreme Court, so as long as that is a possibly, he’ll behave as a conservative. Then, if the chance of getting the top job goes away (for any reason), or he actually makes it to Supreme Court, either way, we’ll ‘get to know him’, and we may not like it.
It’s even possible that the Democrat ‘opposition’ to Bumatay was fake, intended to get him on to the 9th, and then hopefully to the Supreme Court. To put it another way, if the Democrats know him better than our side, and he will be ultimately a Leftist, the Dems couldn’t support him...since that would set off alarms on our side and quite possibly get Trump to pull his nomination.
(all speculation, of course, but if Bumatay is, actually, as conservative as he appears today and the Dem opposition is real, that will be a first for someone with his ‘lifestyle’)

Naa...given the history with the Dems, they only really step up opposition at the Circuit Court level. History is loaded with conservative District Judges being confirmed by huge Democrat majorities. I suspect that they do this to be able say they’re not gridlocking everything.
