We write off the Black and Hispanic vote and then wonder why those who feel like they are written off by us don’t vote our way?

Are we whites lousy at logic? Or common sense?

I moved into Hangover Park, a working class Chicago Suburb. My first election there, a Presidential November, I worked the precincts in the adjacent suburb. Hangover Park went 55% D. Blacks (20%) of voters, voted 90% D. Hispanics (20% of voters) voted 70% D.

Immediately after the election, I started knocking on doors in the 7 Nothern precincts, the ones in the same township. I registered about 300 people to vote. The turnout was about the same in the off year local township election, a 3 way race between the corrupt Republican slate of the governor; the teachers union slate of the Democrats; and the anti-corruption slate of mostly conservative Republicans. I carried those 7 precincts with 65%. The Governor’s slate ran 2d. The Democrat slate 3d. I got 30% of the Black vote, 100% of the Hispanic vote (except for 1 Puerto Rican on welfare.)

The next election for governor, the statewide Republicans chose the establishment candidate who wanted to murder Rolando Cruz, who was obviously innocent of murder. The Democrat got 85% of the vote. 100% of Hispanics went D.

I moved out of the suburb and the Black Preacher’s wife took over my role. (Think of a Black Protestant Alan Keyes.) The Teachers Union Democrats an Republican establishment ran a combined slate against the good government, transparency, small government, school choice Republicans. My 7 precincts (and the 2 historically more Democrat precincts in Hangover Park in the same Crook County but a different Township) voted 87% for the Black Preacher’s wife slate of candidates.

At least 87% of the Black vote went for the Small Government Republican slate. Again 100% of the Hispanic vote went R. (again with the 1 exception.)

During that time the Hispanic vote share was rising from 20% to 35% due to many Hispanics moving into the suburb and replacing part of the demographic group that gave Hangover Park its name, the whites known for their drinking and their stupid behavior while drinking.

The Asian vote did not move much over the years, and it was smaller.

Divorced and promiscuous white women were the most reliable Democrats by far. Neither I nor my replacement could convince many of them to vote our way. It isn’t just that they were for abortion for obvious reasons. They rejected the idea of the family, the extended family, the church, as the safety net. They saw the Federal Government as the safety net in case they lost their job or got sick.

This was all after Bill Clinton’s time, but they saw Bill Clinton as typical of all the men they had seen and continued to see. Their father’s had been like Bill Clinton. Their past , current and future boy friends were like Bill Clinton. They really felt empathy when Bill Clinton would say “I feel your pain.”

So my point is 1) Blacks and Hispanics can be won over to the Republican Party. 2) Republicans have to nominate good candidates. 3) There are white demographic groups more difficult to win over than Hispanics and Blacks.

It should be noted that the image of the Republican Party is bad in the Mexican community for one historical reason. Back in the 1920s the Rockefeller Republicans supported the Marxist Calles in his genocide of Mexican Catholics and libertarians. If the 1920s gave the image in the US that Republicans are for the rich; Among Mexicans the image of Republicans is that Republicans are for their genocide. Everything Republicans do, such as trying to murder an innocent Rolando Cruz, is seen thru that vague historical fact that created the image that Republicans are for genocide of Mexicans.

Re: Blacks and Hispanics can be won over to the Republican Party.

Sorry. I do not believe that.

Ronald Reagan:

1984 - Landslide reelection victory

Black voters - 9%

Hispanic voters - 34%

Re: 2012 Presidential election

Asian Indians are the best educated and most prosperous ethnic group in America.

80% of them voted to reelect Barack Obama in 2012.

Re: 2018 Mid-Term

My Congressional District is in the heart of Microsoft country, east of Seattle.

We are 40% foreign born, a majority of them software engineers and their families.

My incumbent Democrat Congressman got 70% of the vote. His opponent - from the Socialist Party - got 30%!

Re: 2019 Seattle City Council

We have a truly radical Socialist Party Asian Indian female on the Council.

She was just reelected a couple months ago. She beat a gay Democrat.

Bottom Line....

Congratulations for your great work in the Chicago suburbs.

Since Georgia is almost 50% non-white, I hope you can perform that same political miracle in Atlanta.
