Since every commissioned officer has a piece of paper from the President, extolling his patriotism, honor & fidelity, they should be allowed to carry wherever they go. How’s that for a solution?

As a commissioned officer I had arrest and detention authority for 15+ years, you’d think LEOSA would agree, but alas, not a leo per that law.....
A comprehensive shall issue directive for qualified officers, and NCO s, active, guard or retired/honorably discharged is needed. I offer in place solutions via states CCW laws. You say a commission or warrant or enlistment document? Come on, offer a workable solution for the naval circumstances....
