The dems in the house resolve that trump should not hold public office or profit in the market place. This is way out of the houses jurisdiction.
The senate can vote to remove him from office or prohibit all further holding of public office. I don’t see where they have the power to limit his non-governmental “profits.”
The house has exceeded their power as the republicans pointed out during the amendment discussions yesterday. But they want to punish trump. They are trying to be the prosecutor and the judge who sets sentencing.
