I spent 4 years pulling reserve duty at AFSPC as the Senior IMA to the Staff Judge Advocate. Had to bring summer and winter uniforms unless it was mid-July. My first day of duty it was a balmy 68 when I went into the building and 28 with snow blowing sideways when I came out.

You must be OOOOLLLLLDDDDD!
I got snowed in at Cheyenne Mountain in 1978. Spent 3 days buttoned up.
We ran out of food! Not because Cheyenne Mountain doesn’t have emergency rations, but the SDC commander didn’t want to break into the more expensive long term storage items. Anyway, plenty of food in the vending machines until the snowplows broke down the drifts so our relief could arrive.
Terrible winter.
