Post signs. “NO TIPS PLEASE. Waiter salaries now cover tips”

Then raise your rates accordingly. Fire anyone who accepts tips.
Ever try to tip someone in Costco? They won’t take it. It will cost them their jobs.

I threw out my back on Thanksgiving, therefore I was useless to load my Christmas tree onto my car at Home Depot. I tried tipping the guy working the lot and he refused. He said they were not allowed to accept tips. Strange in that last year at the same Home Depot it was no issue. New policy or maybe HD was using contract workers in previous years?

You’re missing the point, along with others in this area. Losing tips is a pay cut for restaurant employees. And the economy has grown so much since the early 90’s, falsely, that it will take a lot more to buy food and keep the heat on.

The problem is that politicians got into an area, again, they have no knowledge on the market and cash flow, and changed the financial pattern through manipulation and not free market. It happens every time.

It wasn’t broke......

I have indeed tried to do that at Costco. Tire guy noticed I had a low tire, I wasn’t even doing business with the tire shop. I pulled up and he topped me off. I tried to slip him a $5, he wouldn’t take it.
