RUSH: Well, if youre watching this fiasco, I know that its frustrating to watch, and I gotta tell you, folks, its frustrating to have to come here and do this each and every day because every day were faced with bold-faced lies, misrepresentations, lawyerly, passionless explanations of things. But thats what it is, thats what we get to deal with, thats what we will deal with.
So Lindsey Graham was great in his opening statement exposing all of this. Then it got to questioning of Horowitz (doing imitation), I think, well, theres no bias, no documentary evidence, poor Carter Page, well, we didnt find, no, ruh, ruh.
Dianne Feinstein asked one question 10 times. You didnt find any political bias in any aspect of the Well, we didnt find any documentary testimonial evidence. And then Pat Leahy, Senator Leaky Leahy, gets to his turn. Its obvious that theyre trying to create a series of sound bites for the Drive-By Media that say there was no bias whatsoever in the beginning or the decision to begin the investigation into Trump-Russia collusion.
Theyre going overboard on it. Theyre making it obvious that there was political and other kinds of bias. There was political bias, there was personal hatred bias, and theyre making it obvious here by harping on it. I mean, Feinstein must have asked Horowitz four or five different times the same question, and he delivers the same dry, dull, boring answer. (imitating Horowitz) Yes, we found no evidence of any documentary or testimonial bias. And all that means is that nobody admitted to it.
But let me tell you why there was political bias. Aside from common sense, political bias was delivered to the FISA court in the form of the Clinton campaigns hit job known as the Steele dossier. The FBI knew what the Steele dossier was. The FBI knew that it was bogus. The FBI knew that it was totally made up, and they used it repeatedly to get warrants and warrants renewed to spy on this poor guy, Carter Page.
The FBI knew where it came from. The FBI knew it was garbage, as Lindsey Graham has specified and has made clear. And theres no reason to knowingly use something thats garbage unless youve got bias driving you. It is paramountly obvious that bias is what drove this. They know it, the Democrats know it, and the Drive-By Media know it. Thats why this constant harping on the fact that there was no bias.
Im not kidding. Feinstein must have asked this guy five times as though she had never asked it before. And your conclusion is that there was no bias at the beginning? Thats right, Senator, we have found no bias. And then Leahy, who can barely speak anymore, (mumbling) No, Senator, we found no bias whatsoever, no testimonial, no documentary, couldnt find any evidence. (mumbling)
They know theyve been caught, folks. They know theyve been damned because outside of that, everything in this report is an indictment. And even Horowitz said today that theres not a single person vindicated in this operation. He was asked this question about Comey specifically. Let me find the bite. Its one of the last bites that I have here. Yeah. Grab sound bite number 17. This is Lindsey Graham talking to Horowitz. And here is the quick question and answer.
GRAHAM: Former FBI Director James Comey said this week that your report vindicates him. Is that a fair assessment of your report?
HOROWITZ: I think the activities we found here dont vindicate anybody who touched this.
RUSH: Dont vindicate anybody who touched this. But there wasnt any bias. Oh, no, we didnt find any bias. You didnt find any bias in the beginning of the investigation? No, sir, no, Senator, we found no evidence of any bias whatsoever.
Bias is why they did this. Bias is why they used a bunch of garbage, the Steele dossier. Do you realize it has been made abundantly clear here that when the FBI suspected the Russians may have had something to do with hacking or whatever Hillarys campaign or server, that they went in and briefed her, and it was elicited even from Horowitz himself that the FBI did no such thing when they thought the Russians might be involved with Trump.
They didnt inform Trump, they didnt tell Trump, they didnt warn Trump. Instead, you know what they did? They sent an agent to conduct a 302. That means an investigation. When the FBI was briefing Trump, they sent an agent in to conduct an investigation that nobody knew was going on.
In other words, the agent was just there as part of the contingency and Trump was getting a briefing about something, who knows what it was. There was an agent in there that was ready to copy down anything Trump said that they might be able to use and convert in their non, unbiased effort to destroy him.
But theyre overplaying their hand in this. Theyre harping on it so much because its all theyve got, that anybody watching this after a while says, What is the point? Okay, you got it. You say theres no bias. Its like anybody else who says something over and over again, you begin to get suspicious of it when they dont let it just sit there and settle after saying it one or two times.
They had a garbage dossier. The dossier is all they ever had. They used it and used it and used it. They withheld exculpatory information from the court. Thats bias. Youve got evidence that goes against your premise. You found evidence that Carter Page is not a Russian agent. You found evidence that the Steele dossier is garbage. You dont tell the court that? Thats bias.
Theres nothing but bias in this entire investigation, a bias that derives from personal, raw hatred for Donald Trump. This guy Horowitz is even asked about Page and Strzok and their texts. Lindsey Graham read them. CNN did not cover it, by the way. CNN did not cover Lindsey Grahams opening statement. They had a panel discussing what they thought Lindsey Graham might be saying but they didnt cover it.
They didnt start covering until Horowitz gave his statement, and Horowitz opened (doing impression), We didnt find any bias. We found no bias. The first 10 minutes, We didnt find any bias. There wasnt any bias in our investigation, we looked long and hard and we couldnt find any bias. The first 10 minutes then Feinsteins question, CNNs right there, Did you find any bias in the course of the No, we didnt find any bias. There wasnt any bias anywhere. Couldnt find any bias, didnt find any bias, looked hard, looked hard, we thought we might find some bias. Couldnt find any bias whatsoever.
So that is what the Drive-By Media is gonna run with all day long. In fact, let me show you what I think is going to be the bite that youll hear on the Drive-By Media all day. This is Feinstein asking questions. Sound bite number 18. Your report states This is like the seventh time she asked the question, by the way. Your report states that he didnt find documentary or testimonial evidence that political bias or improper motivation played a role?
HOROWITZ: Thats correct.
FEINSTEIN: Thank you. And you didnt find a deep state conspiracy against candidate or President Trump?
HOROWITZ: As to the opening we found no no bias, no testimonial or documentary evidence on that.
FEINSTEIN: And no rationale for a deep state
HOROWITZ: We looked at Mr. Priestap, as I noted, was the decision maker and we did not find any evidence in his emails or texts of having engaged in any bias or having any bias.
RUSH: Now, ladies and gentlemen, lets be very honest here. Stupidity doesnt run in one direction. Weve seen and weve heard testimony about Horowitzs report. If you look at both sides, some people are saying either that the FBI agents were stupid and incompetent, they made some mistakes, 17 errors all in one direction, by the way, anti-Trump, 17, but no bias.
Seventeen errors that this clown Horowitz identifies. Ill tell you why Im calling him a clown in a minute. Seventeen errors. Theyre all in one direction. Theyre all anti-Trump. We didnt find any evidence. So, what? The FBI agents were stupid? They were incompetent? Its either that or they were biased for Hillary and prejudiced against Trump. And we know what it was. We know what it is. We know what it all remains. They were biased for Hillary. They were biased for the Democrat Party. They were prejudiced against Trump.
Now, stupidity and incompetence are scattershot. You find it here, you find it there, you find it over there. Bias and prejudice are precise, targeted things, and they are fired by snipers. We know what happened. We know why it happened. The only thing remaining here is accountability. Accountability for McCabe, accountability for Comey, accountability for Strzok and Page.
Did you hear what Trump said last night? We got sound bites of Trump at the rally. He was on fire. And even Katy Tur on NBC News was caught on a hot mic she didnt know was on saying she had never, ever been to a rally like this, and it was hot, and Trump was on fire, and he was hilarious. And hes out there, he told people (paraphrasing), I dont know if this is true, folks, but Ive heard, Ive heard that this Lisa Page babe, that Strzok had to get a restraining order against her. I dont know if its true or not. And the audience just starts howling. And then he reenacted her having an orgasm.
Have you heard, by the way, she is filing a suit, and one of the reasons shes suing is she wants financial recovery because she had to go to therapy. And you know why she had to go to therapy? She had to go to therapy cause Trump was making fun of her. Trump was making fun of Lisa Page so she had to go to therapy, and she wants somebody to pay her back for the cost.
She had to go to therapy. Trump was mocking her. How has Trump mocked her? He faked her organisms in the texts with Strzok. Oh, Peter I love you. Oh, Peter. Oh, Lisa, I love you. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Please, I love you, Peter. I love you. Oh, we gotta stop Trump, oh, my God. Well stop him. Dont worry about it. Weve got a backup plan. Weve got an insurance policy. Peter, I love you. Oh, my God.
Shed been made fun of. She went to therapy, and she wants somebody to pay for it. Therapy? Shes an FBI lawyer and agent. She was mocked. What the hell did she and Strzok try to do to Trump? They tried to sabotage his campaign. They tried to destroy his life. They tried to destroy his businesses. They did the same thing with Carter Page. Theyre trying the same thing today with George Papadopoulos all over again.
They dont care. Theyre sitting there acting totally void of any emotion. Horowitz discusses and explains the personal destruction that the FBI people in this story enacted against people in the Trump campaign that had not done anything because all of this was made up, and it was made up, and it was started because of fear, because of hatred and precisely because of bias.
You cant miss the bias when you look at this. To assert that there wasnt any bias is so ridiculous and absurd that it is obvious to anybody watching that they are lying about it. And youll notice Horowitz always covers it, We didnt find any testimonial or documentary evidence. Again, what does that mean? It means that nobody he asked confirmed that they were biased.
He was looking right at bias and claims it wasnt there because the people he talked to, like Strzok, No, no, I have no Trump bias. Okay. See, no bias. He talked to Lisa Page, Oh, no, no, no, I have no bias. Okay, no bias. I talked to Bill Priestap, I talked to Comey. No, no, no. At no point did anybody say they were doing anything because of bias. Therefore, we found no bias.
Hoowiz is an obamacrat. Those people sold hire souls to evil.
We have way too many attorneys in government. I have respect for good ethical attorneys, but their mindset is often very different than a lot of other people and professions. They tend to be very concrete and succinct (e.g. ‘letter of the law’ instead of ‘intent of the law’ or other nuances or abstractions). Life isn’t always that way, and clearly Trump isn’t. He’s passionate, and both principle and outcome driven. We would do much, much better as a nation with a ‘diverse’ government - with people from all walks of life. No profession or group should be overrepresented. It leads to misrepresentation and group think.
It's not a lie. It's much worse. This morning Rush parsed it: the phrase "documentary or testimonial evidence" means no one admitted either in writing (documentary) or when asked verbally (testimonial) that they were biased, it's absolutely true that they didn't admit their bias.
In effect Horowitz merely say no one admitted it, and as a true scoundrel uses a half truth to tell a lie, he deliberately and maliciously phrased the half truth to lie and assert that there was no bias, when even the most casual of observers would see gross malignant bias in these peoples' every action.
Imagine the republicans drafting Rush to examine the witnesses in congress!
Bingo!...I switched to CNN to check...then I switched to MSNBC...Nope....C-span...Nope! ....Fox News had an exclusive!.......I suspect the Disney channel will cover the Democrat opening statement on impeachment....
I watched it on C-Span 3.
Horo’s Comey moment. Mistakes were made but, there was no malicious/political intent on the part of anyone.
Evidence be damned. However, Barr and Durham’s immediate response to that BS is telling.
So, the media spin is that Barr isn’t an AG. He’s simply a Trump Toady. Did the media say this when Obama’s AG stated PUBLICLY that he is Obama’s Wingman?
Are people too eager to jump on the soundbites and not look into the details on this?
Horowitz said he could not prove "intent". It was not his job to prove "intent".What he did, was explain point by point how the FBI lied repeatedly in a one sided manner, in such a way that the intent is obvious.
He found the truth; that was his job. How he characterizes what he found is just his protecting himself in a bureaucracy, and that is normal.
So he found the truth, and now it is up to Barr and Durham now.
As John Solomon pointed out, there were actually 51 violations of the WOODS PRCEDURES, rules established to ensure accuracy with regard to the facts supporting probable cause.” This included:

One was arguably worse than the FBI lawyer changing the Carter CIA email. The FBI interviewed Steele’s primary source. He told the FBI that the entire Dossier was unverified and made up. So, the FBI reported to the FISA court, that they found that witness to be truthful and trustworthy. But, they didn’t tell the court what he had said. Unbelievable!
Uhhhh, gee... Where's the FBI bias? /s
“”””””Horowitz said he could not prove “intent”. It was not his job to prove “intent”””””””””””””””
True. I watched the whole thing. Horowitz did his job and he did it very well. He even found that the FBI lawyer changed an email which is a huge deal.
If some of these people would watch it they might be better informed.

When are the Pubbies gonna ask these questions?
1. Why is the U.S. giving $400 million to Ukraine, anyway?
It makes little sense. Europe is providing aid to Ukraine as it reacts to an encroaching Russia, which annexed Crimea in 2014. One can see how EU nations might be concerned about a Russia with Western ambitions, but with 2,800 miles of Europe and another 3,000 miles of ocean between us (in addition to our being $22 trillion in debt and running the first trillion-dollar budget deficit in history), foreign aid (of all types) is one of a thousand potential starting points for getting our fiscal house in order. Doing so would also ensure that America has clean hands, where the tragic effects of the fog of war are concerned.
2. Exactly how many U.S. government employees are dedicated to dealings with Ukraine?
The endless parade of present/former U.S. special deputy chief acting assistant provisional envoy policy liaison advisers (and their assistants, drivers, food tasters, etc.) tasked with providing aid, defense advice, and more to Ukraine is staggering ......as must be their salaries, and will be their pensions and retirement benefits......all paid for on the backs of working class Americans.
As John Solomon pointed out, there were actually 51 violations of the WOODS PRCEDURES, rules established to ensure accuracy with regard to the facts supporting probable cause. This included:
9 False Statements
9 Inaccurate Statements
33 Statements without verification or supporting evidence.
Now that his report is being parsed by experts like Solomon I hope Horowitz’s next appearance isn’t going to be so chummy. Horowitz needs to be nailed to his chair until he admits to this flim flam.
1. Why is the U.S. giving $400 million to Ukraine, anyway?’’
The $400 mil is a bribe to Ukraine not to fight the Russian invasion too hard. You can trace it back to Merkel bullying them into surrender at the so-called Minsk agreement. The kenyan wasn’t interested and had fobbed it off on Merkel and Macron.
“Bias is why they did this. “
I totally disagree with this, the FBI didn’t investigate President and Candidate Trump because of bias, they did it because the White House told them to
We are looking too hard at this Bias nonsense and not looking at the real cause here.
Don’t let the media pull the wool over your eyes
OBAMA’S FBI used a ANTI-TRUMP DOSSIER PAID FOR BY ONE CANDIDATE to GET A WARRANT from a FISA court to SPY ON THE OTHER CANDIDATE..
Uhhhh, gee... Where’s the FBI bias? /s
You are looking at this all wrong, the FBI wasn’t Bias per se, heck even if they were it doesn’t matter, what matters is that the White House told the FBI upper chain of command to do this. That is what matters.
The FBI didn’t investigate Trump because they were bias, they investigated Trump because the Obama White House told them to.
Big difference
In fact, once that is proven, the leftist dopes would have wished the FBI was bias and were to blame for this.
Also I am not saying the FBI isn’t guilty of rigging FISA complaints or breaking other laws in the process, they were.
I just watched on YouTube Graham’s entire opening statement. I might hate Graham’s immigration policy, but he was terrific this morning. For Freepers with the interest, the full 40 minutes is worth watching.

Heres what you need to know about the U.S. military aid to Ukraine-——its conflict with Russia began in 2014.
In June, the Pentagon announced plans to provide $250 million to Ukraine in security cooperation funds for additional training, equipment and advisory efforts to build the capacity of Ukraines armed forces. The U.S. State Department separately planned to provide $141 million in aid.
The U.S. has committed more than $1.5 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since 2014, when Russian-backed separatists began driving tanks through eastern Ukraine. The latest equipment was largely more of the same aid the U.S. previously supplied, aimed at helping Ukraine monitor and secure its borders, deploy its forces more safely and effectively, and make progress toward NATO inter-operability.
The Defense Departments tranche was set to include sniper rifles, rocket-propelled grenade launchers, counter-artillery radars, electronic warfare detection and secure communications, night vision equipment, and military medical supplies and treatment. The department previously included counter-sniper equipment, Humvees and tactical drones as well.

If someone writes an email that says “I hate Donald Trump” and then a day later takes an action that is harmful to Donald Trump, is that evidence of intent?
F^%$ yeah it is!
