Feinstein is laying on the half-truths and lies pretty thick. She says the IG report proves that the Steele dossier wasn’t used to open the investigation. So? Nobody was claiming it was. It was used to get the FISA warrant. Talk about a straw man argument.
Then she says Horowitz found that political bias played no role in opening the investigation. Leaving aside that Barr and Durham disagree, Horowitz simply says he found no documentary or testimonial evidence that political bias played a deciding role in opening the investigation. That’s a subtle but important difference from what Feinstein is saying. Feinstein is portraying it as an exoneration, which it was not.
