And they say dogs ain’t smart."

That is one smart dog! My Pyrenees gets no closer than six feet from the under ground line. He is so smart he doesn't need the beep first. But then again, my Pyr is a loyal companion guard dog. He knows his job is in the patrol area only. He is large (128 lbs) but is extremely fast. Runs like a damn horse.

Our cats are his friends. He was introduced to them when he was a puppy. Now they are just part of his herd.

There was a bookshop we would go to that had a white Pyrenees and a Chihuahua as the shop dogs.

The Pyrenees was napping next to the wall with the Chihuahua nestled against him. The big dog woke up and looked at the water bowl a few feet away. He licked his lips and started to move, then looked down and saw his little buddy still sleeping against him.

I kid you not, the big guy looked at the water, then at the little dog, again at the water, then back to the little dog. He then gave this audible sigh, laid back down and decided to just be a big warm pillow for a while longer.

Great dogs those Pyrenees.
