I agree about the AR-15, ever since 1970 when I was issued a M-16A1 in RVN. Much prefer the Kalashnikov except it makes a funny sound that draws fire.
But Dear Leader Northam is going to create a DiFi style list of banned weapons based upon the usual scary features, for all makes & models.
Hope the NRA/ILA keeps an eye on VA & other states’ preparations for weapons seizures, like SWAT equipment & vehicle acquisitions, riot training, and especially how Richmond plans to dragoon local law enforcement into assisting with kicking in doors.
This is a culture war writ large; NoVa on one side & the rest of the Old Dominion on the other.
Northam might even go full Nazi and declare peaceable assembly for gun rights as a form of insurrection and send in the jackbooted thugs.
I know... besides, my mini-14 don’t look near as scary.
