Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who famously lost the 2016 election to now-President Trump, swiftly gave her public support to articles of impeachment against her political rival after they were announced by House Democrats Tuesday morning.

Clinton called the impeachment push necessary for defending democracy.

"We must defend our democracy, and the painful truth is that the occupant of the Oval Office is waging war against it," Clinton tweeted.

Clinton posted the comment along with a video of House Democrats discussing plans to move forward with impeachment articles alleging abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

We don't have a Representative Republic. We have a Constitutional Republic.

I may have made that same error myself. So hard it to be perfect it but it's worth preserving the correct terms.

Are we a Constitutionally limited representative republic? Or just a Constitutional Republic? I'll assume the latter.

Fat, drunk and stupid is the only way Hillary went through life.

The Democrats have the “Five Bitches of the Apocalypse” - Hillary, Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Ilhan Omar and the foul-mouthed PLO hag, Tlaib.

If Shakespeare had lived and had written “MacBeth” today, he would have made these women the models for the “Witches” in it.

“Evil” has a face - in fact - five faces. Their names are listed above. KNOW YOUR ENEMIES and fight them!

...it's worth preserving the correct terms.

IMO it's essential to not only preserve but to use the correct terms.

Are we a Constitutionally limited representative republic? Or just a Constitutional Republic?

Your wording is telling.
Rhetorical questions don't get answers.

Soooo, this is what they are impeaching Trump with. Except he didn’t do anything to deserve it.

Please don’t be picky with me—it doesn’t work because I am often imprecise or error prone as you can see from my posts. I have no hidden agenda-—just sincerely trying to use the correct terms

I didn’t mean to insult our Constitutional Republic or cast aspersions on it by saying “just”. I meant do the additional words apply or not.

My question was genuine. Someone around said “Constitutionally Limited Republic” and I was asking you about it. Not implying anything.

At 73 my memory of studying for my 1968 political science degree has flaws. I actually took a one semester class in the US Constitution, read the Federalist Papers,Democracy in America, books by and about Thomas Paine,Patrick Henry and many others. Remember every line? No. Like my Bible studies I feel like I know less than when I started because I now “know how much I do not know.”

I now have the Library of America Debate on the Constitution, a complete set of the Times American Presidents biographies and many on the history of the revolutionary period and most of the Oxford History of the United States. I have but have not fully read the 2 vol. Debate on the Constitution and the 2 vol. Am. Revolution Pamphlet Debate—which I am now inspired to consult. Thanks to you.

I meant no disrespect to you or to our system of government.
Forgive me.

Yeah, it's easy enough to find..."Constitutionally Limited Republic" site:freerepublic.com

Like here, recently..."Earning My Vote" and Other Misconceptions
In fact, as a citizen in a constitutionally-limited republic, your vote is not a reward for a slick presentation, an attractive face, or the display of some talent like the Miss America pageant.

I would not use that term. The reading of the Constitution does lay out the limitations on the government, but IMO to use such a term is meant only to be descriptive of function...limiting the government.

Another instance from 2002...#4
First para, second sentence.
Third para, first sentence. Such use is descriptive, not defining.

Just Constitutional Republic, as you said, IMO.
Thanks for your clarification.

Would you care to chime in on whether or not I made the correct call regarding your particular usage in your article?

It is causing some confusion.

In #60 you stated it well and I will try to use the correct term. You are right:

“We don’t have a Representative Republic.
We have a Constitutional Republic.
Ducks in a row...Representation is spelled out within the Constitution.
Congressional oaths are to the Constitution.
(...I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States...)
One must come before the other. “

Also the Leonard Peikoff quote in the 2002 thread on Athenian democracy leading to the death of Socrates was helpful.

So many would prefer a smartphone internet voting system of direct democracy in which a tearful Greta speech followed by an inspiring Oprah one would allow the immediate election of Bernie. System and vote counting software supplied by Soros companies, of course.

Thanks for your patience and information.

Clinton called the impeachment push necessary for defending democracy.

That's why they're trying to destroy it.
