Democrats expected to unveil articles of impeachment against Trump, focusing on abuse of power, obstruction of Congress

Democrats are expected to unveil two articles of impeachment against President Trump on Tuesday that will focus on abuse of power and obstructing Congress, and would be voted on by the full House next week, according to three officials familiar with the matter.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) met with Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) and other committee chairmen Monday night after a nine-hour hearing in which a Democratic counsel laid out the party’s case against Trump. The three officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss the private talks, cautioned that the plan had not been finalized.

It’s taken the Democrats 3 years to do this. this started in December, 2016, when Warren introduced legislation to make Trump divest of all his property and wealth or face impeachment. This was before Trump was sworn in!!! This is all the Democrats have focused on for 3 years!!

The night before the democRATS are to announce THEIR charges or articles of impeachment against Trump, they still don't have their act together?

I would have thought that they would start with the articles of impeachment and then manipulate their witnesses and their testimonies back into the crimes so they fit.

These idiots are doing this willy-nilly, throwing charges up against the wall and trying to decide what crime they can invent to fit the 2nd hand hearsay, gossip, opinions and hurt feelings and bruised egos of diplomats, so as to make it look like Trump committed an impeachable "high crime and misdemeanor".

Not only is this a 100% democRATic partisan process, but they can't even decide at the last minute what crime the president was supposed to have committed.

That's because the president didn't commit any crimes and they know it.

This will not end well for the democRATS.

No such thing a “Obstruction of Congress”. That is a completely fraudulent charge with utterly no merit what so ever.

The Executive is a Co Equal Branch of Govt. Basically the Democrats are trying to claim Congress has some sort of mythical super authority over our Government.

Based on this ridiculous claim they could impeach Supreme Court Justices any time they over turned a Congressional act. By ruling against the act was “Unconstitutional” the Justices would be guilty of this mythical “Obstruction of Congress”
