Bill Hemmer will anchor “Bill Hemmer Reports” on Fox News Channel weekdays at 3 p.m. ET starting on January 20, the network announced on Monday.
“Bill is an incredible newsman and his ability to cut to the heart of the story while humanizing major events has made him a standout talent in news. As we start gearing up for the 2020 election, we are thrilled to have him lead our news division through what will sure to be an eventful year,” Fox News Media president and executive editor Jay Wallace said in a statement.
Hemmer will lead all breaking news coverage in addition to hosting the straight-news program from the network’s FOX News Deck.

Hemmer is the best hard-news guy on Fox and the only reason I even watch in the morning. Glad he got the gig.

Sorry I wasn’t clear. I’d like to see Cavuto not just replaced, but fired. The guy harbors such irrational hatred for Trump that he refuses to give him due credit for the roaring economy, record stock market, and 50-year low unemployment numbers.

I remember back in the late 80s when CNBC was put together by NBC to compete with Financial News Network. Cavuto was one of their original personalities.
Kernen and Bill Griffeth came from FNN when CNBC bought them. Dobbs was originally on CNN’s Moneyline.
When Roger Stone’s verdict was announced, Hemmer said false statements equal guilty verdict.
I cannot believe Chris Wallace literally said today that Clinton was lying about sex. That was his crime.
Hemmer may be better than Shemp Smith, but he’s another liberal.

Bill Hemmer is, from time to time, full of it. He has a very high opinion of himself and acts as a horse’s ass regularly. You can always tell what his personal opinion is on any story and he is both a Liberal and a Trump Hater.
With all that said, I still guessed that he was the leading candidate and he is probably the right choice given the internal candidates available. I was concerned that one of the wonder women on the Fox News stable would get the nod. All of them are too ambitious and too Liberal to be suited to be the Shep replacement.
