Listening to Linda Gramnasty on Maria's show - Looks to me like The Turle has sent Linda out to establish the comming rules of the road.
We in the Senate will acquit you as long as you do not mess with our ability to take money ALA the Clinton's the Biden's etc.
Finding people guilty and sending them to jail would possibly make Linda a target of investigation should the Dems take charge

For several months I’ve been roundly excoriated here on FR for suggesting that the GOP controlled Senate would preclude witnesses just as the GOP controlled Senate did in 1999.
Now we have the statement of Sen. Graham......
He says it’s for the “good of the country” but anyone with half a brain realizes that it is so the corruption in both the GOP and the RATS can continue unpunished.
Rice bowls will remain unbroken and full.
The problem I see is if the GOP sweeps it under the rug, then they really don’t give people who are outraged at what the democrats are doing a taste of justice.
Justice is needed.
If justice is denied, people will desert the party.
The democrats will win it all, and then watch them indict, accuse and attack the GOP.
One thing is certain—the democrats don’t balk from a fight, like the GOP.
Someone needs to tell the Turtle the REAL stakes we’re up against.
