The gunman who opened fire Friday morning at Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida, fatally shooting three people, has been identified as an aviation student from Saudi Arabia as investigators are looking into whether the attack is terrorism-related.
The gunman was confronted and taken out by a pair of responding officers. Two people were killed at the scene while a third victim died after being rushed to a local hospital. Seven others suffered injuries and are undergoing treatment, including the two officers, one of whom was shot in the arm and the other in the knee. Both are expected to survive.
This is a tragic day for the city of Pensacola we are a military town, our hearts and prayers are connected to all those that serve us every single day, the citys mayor, Grover Robinson, told reporters during a press conference Friday. We will overcome this, but today this is certainly a tragic day.
NAS Pensacola is home to the Naval Education and Training Security Assistance Field Activity's International Training Center, which the Navy says was established in 1988 to meet the aviation-specific training needs of international officers and enlisted students from allied nations.

I’m not sure if KSA will fully inform about the background of the terrorist and his network. Historically they have not provided this info.

Rai Al-Youm raises an important question about how common the ideas of al-Qaeda, as demonstrated by the tweets by Mohammed Saeed al-Shamrani, is among the younger persons in Saudi

Almost all Arabic comments on Twitter are against the terrorist, but some are supporting him such as this
(rough translation:) O God accept Muhammad_Al-Shamrani
that is spreading terror in America (government and people) in the interest of Islam and Muslims. The American people will ask why Muslims target us? Because our (=American) government kills them in Iraq, the Levant, Afghanistan, Libya, Palestine, and others. Peoples of the West can make decisions, unlike our enslaved peoples.

Little in Mr. Alshamranis background points to an inclination toward violence. Born in Saudi Arabias Asir province, in the countrys rural southwest, his father is also a veteran of the Saudi armed forces, and his extended family are seen within Saudi Arabia as broadly supportive of the government

If there is no sign of violence and no sign of psychiatric illness, then the conclusion is to assume that most Saudis might be terrorists?
What would the Flight 97 Militia think of our training Saudis to fly aircraft?
What Really Happened at NAS Pensacola, and Why
Over a 5 day span, the terrorist checked in, acquired a handgun with 4 extended magazines and ammunition, posted a manifesto online condemning the US as a nation of evil along Islamist and anti-Semitic lines, planned and executed his attack with at least 3 accomplices. At least 10 Saudi Military Officers knew of the plan, and either participated or did nothing to stop it. Each one of these individuals had passed the screening process to come train in the United States. That brief recount of the chain of events begs a series of questions, some of which are easier to answer than others.

Thanks. That helped to fill in some of the blanks.
We’re not being told anything about the other accomplices.
