Yep. Sadly, most are not hip to this beltway flim flam. The establishment tosses some red meat like this and more than half the GOP base is ready to tune in for another Hannity tick tock to nowhere.
The prosecutors protect their own. No need to keep them at bay, that is their natural state. The prosecutors COULD go after malfeasance in their own ranks and blow right past the IG. That'll never happen. Not under Trump, not under any other president. The institutions are fundamentally dishonest, the IG is there to regulate how much dishonesty is exposed, so the public can be told the system is fundamentally honest.
