We all would like for this ridiculous crap and their shenanigans to be over. But if the Senate dismisses it and says they aren’t going to hold a trial, then that will be the Dem talking point from now to the election. “Trump’s allies in the Senate are protecting him and obstructing justice. We were RIGHT to impeach him, but the Senate refuses to do its Constitutional duty.”

That would be a disaster and a good chunk of the brain-dead electorate that doesn’t follow any of this would say “Hmm, they are right. Trump’s a crooked lying crook. I better vote against him.”

My preference would be for Trump to delegate what little defense is needed to refute these ridiculous charges to subordinates and surrogates.

Trump needs to get on offense, expose dem corruption and clearly communicate what he has done for average families over the last three years. He needs to just keep focused on what he has been doing and avoid this dem trap of getting sucked into a perpetual defensive posture over the next year.

You have it perfect. The senate must have a trial. If not, they will hang this around Trump and the R’s forever. Maybe this was even the dems strategy in the house.

Have a trial, and show the real facts.
