They can afford it because “The average bottom-quintile household receives $45,389 in government transfers”.

They should just call it what it is - a Free Sh*t Transfer.

Maybe it’s because they were all democrats. 😁

I’ll betcha I was within a coupla feet of the ‘Vegas EBT grrrl: She finished her Ice cream stick, and threw the wrapper and stick on the street.

3 feet from a trash can.

For real.

Of course, I’m racist for noticing the two ton Tonisha littering, but whatever.

This is hardly newsworthy. Anyone receiving cash benefits can use the EBT as a debit card. Most of the time it provides food stamps.

Massachusetts’s know who they issued the cards to so they need to investigate whether this was a case of welfare fraud.

It sure seems like it to me.

one would think that an EBT card would be tied to the location or at least the state it was issued in...if you can afford to travel more then 200 miles from the city the card was issued in maybe you are not in need of the benefits.

The state's Department of Transitional Assistance bars cardholders from using the cards for vacation services

Apparently it doesn’t.

In UK they have Muslim families on welfare benefits that spend months upon months in Pakistan or Bangladesh each year. And they always import in brides and grooms (cousins and other relatives) because the UK family gets paid off handsomely.

Muzz know how to work the UK system!

The benefits should be limited to use at a grocery store for basic food only - cheese, meats, rice, pasta, bread, baby food, fresh fruit and vegetables.

After my grandmother died, we cleaned out her pantry and found the government cheese and honey in white packages with black lettering.

It destroys me when I see the foreign families, who don’t even speak English, with the 6-7 kids loading up several grocery carts with luxury foods my family never could afford.

They laugh at us while they parasitically feed on the hard work of our ancestors.

Transitional Assistance, sort of like “jumbo shrimp”, or “military intelligence”.
