I am being just a bit sarcastic here. He is trying the "I do what I am paid to do" defense and eschewing any moral responsibility as a consequence. "I am merely the agent of my client."

But, since no sane person would make such a statement about himself unless he believed it to be the truth, under the doctrine of statement against interest, we can take it that here, to the extent that it works against himself and those he has conspired with, that he is telling the truth.

Of course he is a liar and a whore - he admits he was paid to lie and he lied - but he is not an idiot - he knew it was a lie - which simply compounds the malice and is not a defense against the same.

I know. My comment was less about being truthful or not, and more along the lines of dealing with someone who has told you lies repeatedly in the past.
