Why wouldn’t Georgia have a primary before the 2020 and 2022 elections?

Basically GA special elections are a “jungle primary” where everyone will be on the ballot. If no one gets more then 50%, the 2 highest vote getters face a run off.
You can bet the Democrats Big Dollar Donor base will be funding a fake “grass roots” Republican no one has ever hear of against her to try and split the GOP base.
They try this tactic every time here in GA.
