Didn’t Kamala’s own father chide her for portraying herself as a “po’ blak chile” when in fact his family was part of Jamaica’s black and mulatto elite? He was proud of his family’s position near the top of Jamaican society and felt she should be too. In fact, didn’t he say something about having black servants or even indentured laborers? We need a constitutional amendment to require Representatives and Senators to resign their positions in Congress as soon as they seek to run for any other elected federal or state position.
Representatives filing to run for the Senate or governor of a state, lieutenant governor of a state, attorney general of a state, secretary of state of a state, POTUS, VPOTUS, or any other state elected position must vacate his or her seat.
Senators filing to run for the Senate or governor of a state, lieutenant governor of a state, attorney general of a state, secretary of state of a state, POTUS, VPOTUS, or any other state elected position must vacate his or her seat.
The purpose of such an amendment would be to make Representatives and Senators do the jobs they were elected to do rather than run for another office.
