A former health insurance executive offered praise on Tuesday for Medicare for All plans put forth by Democratic presidential candidates Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.).
Wendall Potter, who spent 20 years in the health insurance industry, told Hill.TV that both policy ideas would create much needed structural changes to the health care system.
Sanders and Warren have each introduced plans calling for the elimination of private health insurance in favor of a government-run health care plan.
Both of them are staunch advocates of getting to Medicare for All as soon as possible we need to do that, Potter, now a Medicare for All advocate, said referring to the two progressive rivals.
We cant do incremental steps for long periods of time because it just creates more and more cost in the system and leaves more and more people out, he added.

We have this notion that health insurance companies facilitate access to health care, he said. The primary stakeholder for these guys are their investors.

Sure.................
This ahole is a Marxist. Wonder if his colleagues knew this?
After he made his money already.
Medicare for all would be a disaster.
The HMO’s just want to get paid. After that all things are negligible, including what’s delivered.
BOURGEOIS SOCIALISTS
A part of the bourgeoisie is desirous of redressing social grievances, in order to secure the continued existence of bourgeois society.
To this section belong economists, philanthropists, humanitarians, improvers of the condition of the working class, organisers of charity, members of societies for the prevention of cruelty to animals, temperance fanatics, hole-and-corner reformers of every imaginable kind. This form of Socialism has, moreover, been worked out into complete systems.
We may site Proudhons Philosophie de la Misere as an example of this form.
The Socialistic bourgeois want all the advantages of modern social conditions without the struggles and dangers necessarily resulting therefrom. They desire the existing state of society minus its revolutionary and disintegrating elements.

When youre so bad that even the COMMUNISTS HATE YOU...you know youre effed up. Bernie, Karl would’ve spit on you and you would’ve felt the burn from one to the back of the head from Uncle Joe as he kicked you into a shallow grave.

Hey Liz. DISMANTLE CFPB.
Yo Bernie...how’s your boy James Hodgkinson?...
What a putz.
meh. Democrat sell out sniffing for a job
That insurance bailout money...
I am still on my companys group policy as one of my retirement benefits. Medicare is a couple of years off for me. Recently I had a need to avail myself of very sophisticated and expensive medical treatment. I didnt have to wait more than a week for even the most high tech scans. People at the treatment center couldnt have been nicer.
I dont want that to change.
socialism = crony capitalism
Trading one third party payer for another will not reduce health care costs.
From the article: “The health insurance veteran currently runs two advocacy groups, Medicare for All Now and Business for Medicare for All. Both nonprofits seek to help move the nation towards a single-payer national health care system.”
How much money do these two advocacy groups receive from the federal government? You won’t find it on their websites, nor will you find out any sources of funding.
Perhaps if the GOP ever regains control of both Houses of Congress it can do two things:
1) Defund all of the liberal advocacy and social justice organizations receiving taxpayer funds.
2) Require non-profits to list on their websites all donors and the amount given. Donations to be posted as received.
Oh. Well then. If this tool, who nobody knows, says so.....then I guess I will have to agree too.....
