Will the Washington Times and conservatives in general quit calling these tyrants “Liberals”? They have NOTHING to do with “liberty” and the historical backdrop is irrelevant. The Left deals in lies and misuse of words including what they are called by the Right. The Right falls into their trap WAY too many times.

The only time I use “liberal” is with the compound modifier “old-fashioned,” which I apply to left-leaning but still rational politicos and pundits of the Hubert Humphrey, Scoop Jackson, Daniel Patrick Moynihan mold.
Today, the only people on the left I have any respect for are Alan Dershowitz, Camille Paglia, Morton Kondracke, and a local attorney friend of mine.
What can I say about old-fashioned liberals? I may not have agreed with their answers all that often but I must admit they raised some legitimate questions. Just being fair here.
