one of the top 5? Not sure if the vote is in on that yet.

One more Supreme Court judge and he gets my vote as #2 behind Washington.

It is with a large number of friends and myself. The crap that President Trump is taking from the commie scum which would be directed towards us is way and above what any other President has had to endure.Best President ever.

A majority of Democrats say Government is more important to people than God.

There are a lot of issues over the 1860 election...the electoral college is just one of them.

A lot of the ‘loss’ for the Democrats in 1860 revolves around two conventions being held, and the Alabama delegation walking out of the first convention.

Exactly.

And it is far too early to assess Trumps accomplishments in the context of all time greats. Needless to say, he is in pretty good company being one of 45 in our history.

Considering that the democRats have taken Lincoln as one of their own, then it is true that Trump is the better of the two.

No itching here, just a recognition that Trump accomplished more in his first term.

Whether or not he’ll be considered as good, or better after his second term, nobody knows.

Huge shoes to fill there, Reagan was simply one of our greatest Presidents. The only great one while we’ve been alive.

Race-baiters in this country have ensured that Lincoln will be remembered as the guy who launched a war with no idea as to how he was going to deal with the freed slaves that would result from it. 150 years later, this government still hasn’t figured it out; they still feed, clothe, and house their descendants, but for far too many there has been on assimilation at all.

Washington had some extraordinary men around him and the fact that he was the first president will always make him No. 1.

Look at the line up after him.

Remember, we started with a one party system.

The office of President was started with George Washington in mind. Perhaps that’s why so many Presidents(Not President Trump, of course)disappoint us.

Oh come on. How do you think we got Socialist Security....the Income Tax?

Our social security policy/law is a "social policy" but is not socialist. A civil society takes care of its infirm, disabled, and elderly.

Income tax is government greed. When it steals more taxes than it should then we get into a socialist style problem. Still doesn't make the country socialist though.

“ I would like to know whether Trump has passed Reagan, for the title.
Actually. ”

Well, let’s see how his second term goes. Then, we can judge. But, I will say that there are lots of similarities between Trump and Lincoln. Both had to deal with The Dark State of their time. Both had to fire generals. In fact, as I recall, Lincoln went through several before he finally found Sherman who was willing to engage Lee head on.

Abe Lincoln did some good stuff, but he also did a lot of bad things. Lincoln was almost a dictator. Trump is better.

Didn’t Lincoln also have by plurality the highest vote in the 1860 contest?

Students I once had would also say Lincoln was Democrat, no matter how often I corrected that notion. Lincoln was the latter-day Henry Clay.
