I have zero doubt the story is true, that they noticed problems and complained about it. Unstable structures shift around you while you’re building them. Construction workers are extremely sensitive to this because their lives are literally at stake. At the same time, the deportation doesn’t cause any issues because depositions can be taken in Honduras. Payment can also be made to witnesses for the time and trouble taken to testify.

I bet there’s a lot of facts left out this story.

Maybe more details will be revealed, after I return from a fishing trip.
