A prominent member of the board of directors of Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian oil and gas conglomerate at the center of the impeachment inquiry, admitted on Friday that Hunter Biden was tapped to join the company because of his fathers political influence.
Aleksander Kwasniewski, a former president of Poland who joined Burismas board around the same time as the younger Biden, told the Associated Press it was normal for corporations to seek out well-connected figures for advisory positions. The former president admitted that both he and Hunter Biden secured their posts with Burisma, which at times paid as much as $83,000 per month, due to the influence afforded by their names.
I understand that if someone asks me to be part of some project its not only because Im so good, its also because I am Kwasniewski and I am a former president of Poland, Kwasniewski said. And this is all inter-connected. No-names are a nobody. Being Biden is not bad. Its a good name.

MONEY QUOTE:
“The former president proceeded to claim that Hunter Biden was an integral part of the board, despite having no background in the energy sector and never once visiting Ukraine during his five-year tenure with Burisma.
He collected information, Kwasniewski said, claiming Hunter Biden helped the company with corporate governance. He was useful for us because he knew something that we didnt know.”
He was useful for us because he knew something that we didnt know.
Yeah, dad’s private phone number.
When so many are getting the jobs because of who their political parents are shouldn’t that be inherently seen as evidence of payola?
Hunter Biden is the poster boy for the corrupt Democrat Party.
“He drinks, and he knows things”? Maybe the confused him with Hunter Lannister.
No Schiff, Sherlock
He knows things like where to get crack.
LOL. And what has put Kwasniewski on that same board?
As another FReeper pointed out, 83 thou a month works out to just a shade under 1 million dollars a year.
I don't know about tax law but I'm thinking there's probably something about American tax law that makes making a million dollars a year a problematic number.
Maybe they needed somebody to change a lightbulb....
Yet how many politicians and their relatives get sweetheart deals and are never, ever looked at by the IRS or US Treasury?
Nothing special about the $1MM mark, the abuses start at about $425,000 if married. Foreign banks accounts, foreign partnerships and ownership in foreign companies are all in a class of their own when it comes to rules, reporting requirements and penalties.
Well, unless you don't report any of it, and your Daddy is part of the DS.
Polaks can be stupid but they’re honest.
“Yeah, dads private phone number.”
I dont think he was in that loop.
If Western Civilization is going to be saved, it will be by the Eastern Europeans, with the Polish people in the forefront.
Pollack jokes are stupid. They are largely good and noble people.
Polak jokes r funny as I am one.
