It was not snowing in southwest Michigan on Thanksgiving morning. I am not sure where the young man was hunting, i suspect this is a political statement about firearms more than an actual story. P.S. My blinds are heated and as comfortable as my living room. To old to “rough it”.
A warm blind doesn't help enough if the deer cooperate and you're a good shot. Last year, I field dressed a deer at 14 degrees in a high wind. It's amazing how fast you can clean a deer when you've got that kind of incentive. A fox took the heart and the liver while I was standing right there; she must have been cold and hungry too, even in her fur coat. At least my hands were warm, so I didn't worry about cutting myself, but I regretted taking that shot by the time I got warm again.

LOL! My living room is my blind. The last 4 deer taken on our place was from the front porch while in sleeping attire.
