I see it more like an abusive relationship. The GOPe expects the base to vote for establishment candidates but when a conservative is on the ballot they are free to support a progressive Democrat. The GOPe has lied to GOP voters since Reagan about their true open borders agenda.
This lady is just more evidence that POTUS is keeping the GOP is on life support. Abusers don’t change their stripes and GOP continue pushing progressive Republicans and their agenda on the base. But without POTUS the GOP stand for nothing other than personal enrichment and eventually will be nothing. With the GOP corportists openly allying with progressives being the not Democrat party is no longer good enough for the GOP.
