I know a man with 4 tours in Vietnam who never ate Turkey or even a hot meal in Vietnam on T Day. I recall eating INDIG rations west of Duc Lap on T Day, again on Christmas, plus New Years Eve and Day. Frankly the INDIG shrimp and mushrooms on rice was very good if we had bamboo near us. Fresh bamboo shoots are awesome.

We got to pose with a turkey leg for our hometown papers.
Then it was on to the tray of turkey loaf. 65 guys ate that one turkey leg.
