Bingo. I won't rant, but I still see attempts in the tech sector to replace engineers with H1bs, or outsource to India/China, while middle managers check the box and move on/get promoted hopefully before the impact of such catches up to them.

The India scam is the worst of the two. They bring in "consultants", with pie in the sky sales pitches about everything they can do, only to screw it up and then come out of the woodwork to take credit after domestic in house employees fix the mess.
