A board of directors is a fiduciary responsibility put in place to protect shareholders of a corporation from irresponsible behaviors by its chief officers.

Putting a drug-addicted philanderer on a corporate board is an act of gross negligence.

I doubt that “fiduciary responsibility” was #1 thing on the minds of the Burisma execs who put him on their board.
