FOREIGN MEDDLING: ELITE COLLEGES ALLEGEDLY TAKING AND HIDING FOREIGN CASH

The US Department of Education has launched an investigation into foreign cash secretly flowing into U.S. universities and sent letters to Georgetown University and Texas A&M Thursday.
A Senate report found that 70 percent of colleges that took money from a Chinese propaganda program broke the law by not disclosing it. Almost all of the colleges contracted to shape U.S. textbooks on the Middle East received massive funding from countries in the region.
The Department of Education is going after U.S universities over supposed ties to foreign governments, after some allegedly took huge quantities of foreign cash and hid it from regulators. At the top of the list are Georgetown University and Texas A&M, which have taken hundreds of millions of dollars from the government of Qatar, a middle eastern nation with suspected links to international terrorism. Both schools received letters from the Department of Education Thursday saying they should have disclosed that funding but their filings “may not fully capture” the activity, the Associated Press reported. The letter warned that they could be referred to the attorney general to “compel compliance.”
Georgetown was also asked about possible ties to Russian cybersecurity firm Kaspersky Lab, as well as Saudi Arabian money. Both schools were ordered to disclose funding from Huawei and ZTE, Chinese firms suspected of spying. (Excerpt) Read more at dailycaller.com ...
The second aide, Sean Misko, worked as an NSC aide until 2017. He was also part of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's policy planning staff under Deputy Chief of Staff Jake Sullivan. He joined the Intelligence Committee as a staffer in August, the same month the whistleblower filed his complaint.
A source who spoke to the Washington Examiner had reason to believe both Grace and Misko were untrustworthy (emphasis mine):
A source familiar with Grace's work at the NSC told the Washington Examiner, “Abby Grace had access to executive privilege information, and she has a duty not to disclose that information. She is not authorized to reveal that information.”
The same source said that Misko had not been trusted by Trump appointees. “There were a few times where documents had been signed off for final editing before they go to the national security adviser for signature,” the source said. “And he actually went in and made changes after those changes were already finished. So he basically tried to insert, without his boss’ approval.
“There were meetings in which he protested very heavily, and next thing you know, there's an article in the paper about the contents of that meeting.”
Misko often clashed with other NSC personnel at meetings, another source said. Both Grace and Misko were close to Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster, Trump's national security adviser from Feb. 2017 until May 2018.
Misko was a CNAS fellow in 2014. Misko’s name surfaced in the Hillary Clinton email controversy when he worked in the State Department during the Obama administration.
In a Dec. 1, 2009, email released by Judicial Watch, Clinton adviser Huma Abedin sent classified information regarding foreign military contributions to the Afghanistan war effort to her private email account. That email originated with Misko, who wrote to Sullivan that he initially “accidentally” sent it on the “high side” (secure) but was sending the email again.

The Hill reported one of the hires was Abigail Grace, who served on the NSC staff from 2016-2018. It was not clear if she was the only person hired who had worked on the NSC staff during the Trump administration.
Trump fumed about the hires Thursday morning on Twitter, accusing Democratic-led committees of “stealing” people who work at the White House.

Comey had already concluded the result of the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton without interviewing Clinton, her top aides, or the computer specialist that set up her computer server, including Paul Combetta, Cheryl Mills, and Bryan Pagliano.
The letter from the Judiciary Committee says:
These individuals had intimate and personal knowledge relating to Secretary Clinton's non-government server, including helping her build and administer the device. Yet, it appears that the following key FBI interviews had not yet occurred when Mr. Corney began drafting his exoneration statement:
