Johnny Horton. I believe the song involved Old Hickory , Andrew Jackson. I also seem to recall reading that Admiral Farragut steamed into Mobile Bay saying damned the torpedos, full speed ahead. Johnny Horton also did a song called Sink The Bismarck. I think this was around 1960 or so. I dont think America will tolerate occupation.
Anyone remember the TV series “Amerika” from the 1980s?
That didn’t turn out for the good guys and I think that is what they are dreaming about.
Mini series
Interesting that you’d show a picture of Avra Valley when you’re from PA
Open season, no bag limit!
Its the Financial Times of London.
Its very well known outside of your head.
The “points” you make based on YT videos is not a serious argument. I believe you believe. But, it is not a serious argument.
How many average Americans own Machine Guns today. Answer, none. Why? Machine Guns are nearly Illegal to own. To purchase one you have to go through so many Gov’t approved hoops, pay outrageous fees and, the weapons are restricted by year manufactured.
Yes, there are some weapons range businesses that have them for thrill seeker purposes and you pay a steep price for that thrill. But, this is a novelty experience.
The number of weapons owned as a total is higher today than the 40’s but, the percentage of Americans who own and are proficient with them today has dropped dramatically. This is a well documented fact.
If its going to be so easy and such fun join the UN and come out here in middle America and take us not proficient hicks weapons.
Like the "Resistance" that can't accept the results of an Election?
Do they still wear those style helmets? They show up so clearly in a scope ...
So what does the article say? I can’t read it because I’m not subscribed.
Foreign occupation ping
This was posted to win favor on FR, favor that will later be used to incite rage.
I don’t know where you’re coming from. I never said nor intimated any such thing. I suggest you go back and reread what I actually wrote before you comment further.
The quality of the commentary of FreeRepublic has seriously deteriorated as the years have gone by. Back in the day the members actually had the ability to read, analyze, and make well thought out contextual commentary.
Lately, what we are subjected to are knee jerk emotional outbursts with little to no thought, never mind any actual research associated with commentary.
We are subjected to the emotional outbursts of members who have little regard for logic or informed reason. Never mind doing any research prior to commenting.
Too many simply vomit the first thought that comes into their minds. Turning FreeRepublic into a mini Twitter environment.
Thought so.
(T)he first step in the revolution by the working class is to raise the proletariat to the level of ruling class to win the battle of democracy. So what these people really mean when they say save US democracy is save US socialism.
Communist Manifesto, chapter 2
What will be the course of this revolution? Above all, it will establish a democratic constitution, and through this, the direct or indirect dominance of the proletariat. [ ] Democracy would be wholly useless to the proletariat if it were not immediately used as a means for putting through measures directed against private property and ensuring the livelihood of the proletariat.
The Principles of Communism
(I)t is very clear that in fundamental theory, socialism and democracy are almost, if not quite, one and the same. They both rest at bottom upon the absolute right of the community to determine its own destiny and that of its members. Men as communities are supreme over men as individuals.
Woodrow Wilson
Save our REPUBLIC—crazy demcRATS just need to accept the results of the election. No Blue Helmets needed. In fact a Blue Helmet in USA would be hazardous to wear—Patriots are not gonna just sit on their hands and be invaded.
How can you say that it’s not a serious argument, because you don’t think anyone but you is proficient? Go watch a local USPSA match in a town near you. At that time you’ll get to see dentists, IT managers, architects, plumbers, saleman/saleswomen, etc etc etc. You know what group of people you won’t see very often, at one, cops and military.
Go watch a 3-Gun match and tell me those people aren’t proficient.
When you mention the 40s, are you talking about the WW2 generation of men that fought for this country? They deserve the utmost respect. Why you may ask. Because, IMHO, they saved the world and they did it against forces that were equal in every way. But, there are millions that have participated in the Global War On Terror. They love this country and they do/will not take kindly, some UN Peacekeeper showing up trying to prevent what may or may not happen here.
And guess what Turbo, a significant, very significant number of them are armed to the teeth and know how to use them.
As for the reference to the machine gun shoot, it wasn’t about the number of machine guns owned by American’s today. It was referring to the fact that there are folks out there that are just as well armed and much more proficient than some Ungandan on a Peacekeeping team. I’m well versed on the NFA.
To your last sentence.....
the percentage of Americans who own and are proficient with them today has dropped dramatically. This is a well documented fact. ........ Prove it with the well documented facts that you have on hand.
LOL
